Site-Check Checklist

As you visit a prospective location take note of the following…

  • Where can we find Crew Parking?
  • Where will our trucks Load in/out?
  • What is the Neighborhood and the Neighbors like? Any nosy types hanging around?
  • What is the Light Direction around the time you will be shooting?
  • Do you hear any Transmissive Sounds from inside or outside the location? Buzzing transformers, air conditioning, refrigerators, barking dogs?
  • Are there any Reflective Rooms? Hardwood floors, small bathrooms, large plate glass windows or patio doors?
  • Where are the Circuit Breakers located?
  • Can you find or create an Electrical Map of which breakers feed which outlets in the location?
  • What are the Window Views visible in prospective shots?
  • Do you see any Decorating Changes that would be needed? (holes and elephants)
  • Are there any Damage Prone Areas? Delicate floors, corners, windows, etc.
  • Does the location have Air Conditioning? How loud is it and how well does it work?
  • Is there a space to serve Craft Services and Meals?
  • Where are the Bathrooms?
